New Patient Exam
Child Exam & Cleanings
Dr. Will and Dr. Kathy will meet with each patient to complete an oral exam, using information gathered from digital x-rays, digital charting, periodontal charting, and oral cancer screening. This comprehensive information is gathered to provide patients with the best treatment choices.
We recommend that children visit our office around age 2. If you notice any concerns, we would be glad to see them prior to that age. Our goal is to allow them to become familiar with our office and team so they feel comfortable. Our treatment rooms have televisions with children's stations. We are a family practice and welcome children of all ages!
Sports Guards/Night Guards
Our office provides standard cleanings as well as deep cleanings. We use the latest in ultrasonic technology and equipment. Our licensed dental hygienists complete annual continuing education and focus on prevention to help you focus on good oral health.
Sports guards are a must-have for every athlete. Many dental injuries occur during sports and sports guards are very important! Night guards provide protection for those who grind their teeth - relieving wear on your jaw, pain, and preventing tooth damage.
CEREC® Crowns (Caps)
We provide all your high quality restorative dental needs, including:
Whether tooth loss occurred as a result of an accident, disease or has been missing since birth, dental implants are the next best thing to natural teeth. They look and feel like your natural teeth. They also help prevent further bone loss and protect adjacent teeth. With a success rate of 98.8%, long term results are excellent.
A fixed unit bridge is a permanent option to replace one or more missing teeth. It uses a "false" tooth that is attached to crowns on the adjacent teeth to fill the empty space.
Fillings are great, but when the filling is larger than the actual tooth structure, then a crown is recommended. Our office is proud to offer the Cerec® system, providing our patients with a "one visit" crown placement. It uses a 3D image of your tooth to create your crown in our office while you are here. We use this technology providing no more conventional impressions, temporary crowns, and long waiting periods to receive your crown. cereconline.com
Our goal is to achieve the most natural looking smile for you. Tooth colored fillings allow us to match your fillings to your natural tooth color. We use high quality materials to achieve this result.
Dentures & Partials
Pit & Fissure Sealants
Dentures and partial dentures are a removable option used to replace missing teeth. We have our own denture specialist, Mark Funderbunk, C.D.T., who is in our office one day a week to personally work with each patient to design a beautiful smile and custom fit. mark has over 30 years experience as a certified dental technician, owning his own dental lab.
Sealants can help in preventing tooth decay in children by placing a virtually invisible acrylic-like material in the pits and grooves of the molars. Combined with proper home care and regular dental visits, sealants are extremely effective in preventing tooth decay. this procedure takes only minutes and requires no anesthetic, making it painless!
Root Canals (Endodontics)
Velscope® Oral Cancer Screening
Root canal treatment (endodotics) treat disorders of the nerve of the tooth. This can include trauma, decay and severe gum disease. During a root canal, the nerve of the tooth is removed due to being infected. You are completely numb during this procedure. We believe in making you comfortable, saving teeth and making every effort to keep your natural teeth for a lifetime.
Our office is proud to provide this quick, painless oral cancer screening system that is perfectly safe. We purchased this state of the art screening system to offer our patients this service. Statistics prove that oral cancer is usually discovered in late stages 70% of the time. Often, it is simply too late. The survival rate for oral cancer, if discovered in the early stage, is extremely high. We know our patients will appreciate the peace of mind this screening can provide. velscope.com
